Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)

The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 45 years for all categories as reckoned on 01.01.2026. There is no separate age relaxation table mentioned for reserved categories in this advertisement beyond the scheme’s general age band of 18–45 years.

Teacher (Drawing) (Post Code 26022) Any one of the following: 10+2 with 50% marks and a two-year Diploma in Art & Craft Teaching from a recognised institution; OR B.A. with Fine Arts/Visual Arts (Painting, Sculpture, or Applied Arts) as an elective subject with 50% marks; OR a Master’s degree in Fine Arts/Visual Arts with at least 55% marks. Proficiency in Hindi and English is mandatory. SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates of H.P. get a 5% relaxation.

Selection Process

The selection for HPRCA Teacher Recruitment 2026 (Advt. 08/2026) involves two clear stages:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT) / Written Objective Screening Test — A 120-mark test of 1½ hours duration (or as decided by the Aayog). All 120 questions are objective-type, carrying 1 mark each.
