Educational Qualification

Requirements differ by post:

  • Medical Officer (Assistant Commandant): A recognised Allopathic medical qualification registered with MCI/NMC, plus completion of the compulsory rotating internship. Candidates still finishing their internship can also apply, as long as it’s completed before appointment.
  • Specialist Medical Officer (Deputy Commandant): The same base qualification, plus a postgraduate degree or diploma in the relevant specialty — with 1.5 years of experience after a PG degree, or 2.5 years after a PG diploma.
