RRB NTPC 2025 Salary Structure

RRB NTPC offers attractive pay under the 7th Central Pay Commission (7th CPC) for both Graduate and Undergraduate level posts. The salary includes basic pay along with various benefits such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Pension under the National Pension System (NPS), medical facilities, free train travel, and other allowances. Below is the initial basic pay for different posts under the 7th CPC for both Graduate and Undergraduate categories.

RRB NTPC 2025 Selection Process

The RRB NTPC Examination is conducted by Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) across the India, with lakhs of students appearing for it. The final selection process is completed in five stages:

• CBT 1 (Prelims) – Screening test, qualifying in nature, short listing 15 times of the vacancies for 2nd Stage CBT.
• CBT 2 (Mains) – Merit-based, post-specific short listing 8 times of the vacancies for next stage
• Typing Skill Test / Aptitude Test – For select posts
• Document Verification
• Medical fitness Test

RRB NTPC 2025 Exam Pattern

The RRB NTPC 2025 Exam pattern includes two stage Computer Based Test CBT1 and CBT2 followed by, Typing Skill Test/Computer Based Aptitude Test (as applicable). There shall be 1/3rd negative marking for each incorrect answer in CBTs.
The languages listed are Hindi, English, Bengali, Gujarati, Assamese, Odia, Konkani, Malayalam, Kannada, Manipuri, Marathi, Tamil, Punjabi, Urdu, and Telugu.

Syllabus of RRB NTPC 2025

The Questions will be of objective type with multiple choices and are likely to include questions pertaining to:

a. Mathematics:

Number System, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportions, Percentage, Mensuration, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Elementary Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics etc.

b. General Intelligence and Reasoning:

Analogies, Completion of Number and Alphabetical Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical Operations, Similarities and Differences, Relationships, Analytical Reasoning, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagrams, Puzzle, Data Sufficiency, Statement-Conclusion, Statement- Courses of Action, Decision Making, Maps, Interpretation of Graphs etc.

c. General Awareness:

Current Events of National and International Importance, Games and Sports, Art and Culture of India, Indian Literature, Monuments and Places of India, General Science and Life Science (up to 10th CBSE), History of India and Freedom Struggle, Physical, Social and Economic Geography of India and World, Indian Polity and Governance- constitution and political system, General Scientific and Technological Developments including Space and Nuclear Program of India, UN and Other important World Organizations, Environmental Issues Concerning India and World at Large, Basics of Computers and Computer Applications, Common Abbreviations, Transport Systems in India, Indian Economy, Famous Personalities of India and World, Flagship Government Programs, Flora and Fauna of India, Important Government and Public Sector Organizations of India etc.

Minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories: UR-40%, EWS-40%, OBC (Non creamy layer)-30%, SC-30%, ST-25%. These percentages of marks for eligibility may be relaxed by 2 Marks for PwBD candidates in case of shortage of PwBD candidates against vacancies reserved for them.

• Click on “CEN 06/2025 NTPC-Under-Graduate-2025” tab for UG posts
• Register with mobile and email-id.
• Log in and fill personal details, academic, post preferences and railway zone.
• Upload photo and signature (20–50 KB, JPEG format).
• Pay the fee:
• ₹500 (UR/OBC, ₹400 refunded after CBT)
• ₹250 (SC/ST/PWD – fully refunded after CBT)
• Submit the application and take a printout.
