Selection Process

Your eligibility will be assessed as on the last date of application. Meeting the minimum eligibility doesn’t guarantee a call for the next stage — IIT (BHU) may apply stricter shortlisting criteria than what’s advertised, and candidates with higher qualifications or stronger merit may be preferred.

  1. Shortlisting — Based on qualification, experience, and merit as per the Institute’s criteria.
  2. Screening Test / Written Test — May be conducted depending on the post and number of applicants.
  3. Presentation / Group Discussion — Applicable for certain posts, at the Institute’s discretion.
  4. Personal Interview — The final stage for shortlisted candidates.

The Institute reserves the right to call only a limited number of candidates for each stage, and in some cases, may offer a post on a contract basis rather than a regular appointment. Lists of shortlisted and non-shortlisted applicants will be published on the Institute’s official website.
