OPSC AEE Vacancy 2026 – Category-Wise Breakdown

The commission has notified 758 posts across two disciplines. Civil Engineering accounts for almost all of them.

AEE (Civil) – 750 Posts

Within these, 50 posts are set aside for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and 8 for sports persons.

AEE (Mechanical) – 08 Posts

Two Mechanical posts are reserved for PwD candidates.

Out of the 750 Civil posts, 612 are backlog vacancies carried over from earlier years. Only 138 are current-year posts for 2025. That means more than 80% of the Civil vacancies are catch-up posts.

Educational Qualification

• AEE (Civil): A degree in Civil Engineering from a Government-recognised university or institution, or Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Civil.

Your branch must match your GATE paper. This is the most common place for applicants to slip up.

• A pass in Odia as a language subject in the Class VII final exam.
• A pass in the Odia test (Middle English School standard) conducted by the School and Mass Education Department or the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.

OPSC AEE Salary 2026 – What Will You Actually Earn?

Selected candidates join at Level-12, Cell-1 of the Pay Matrix under the Odisha Revised Scales of Pay (ORSP) Rules, 2017. The entry basic pay at this level is ₹56,100 per month.

OPSC AEE Selection Process

There is no separate written test. Selection happens in these stages:
