OPTCL is filling 60 Management Trainee (Electrical) seats, with 20 posts reserved for Women candidates. Over and above these 60, backlog posts exist for special categories:

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

You need a Degree in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering with minimum 60% aggregate marks from a recognised university (as on 25 June 2026). SC/ST/PwBD candidates need at least 50% marks. Passing Section A & B of IE (India) in the relevant discipline also qualifies, subject to the same marks conditions. If your university awards CGPA/OGPA, convert it to percentage as per your institution’s norms before applying.

✅ Only GATE 2026 (EE paper) score is valid. GATE 2025 or earlier scores will not be accepted — no exceptions.

Odia Language Proficiency (Mandatory)

2. Personal Interview – Shortlisted candidates appear for an interview. Download your call letter via the candidate login on optcl.co.in. Bring your GATE 2026 Admit Card and Score Card in original.
3. Document Verification – Done via DigiLocker as per procedure in the interview call letter.
4. Medical Examination – Final appointment requires passing the Pre-Employment Medical Examination.
